Mrs. Savage’s heart is all about nurturing the gifts and talents of her students. She has a passion for mentoring children, teens and young adults. Mrs. Savage has been a certified educator for 36 years, (New York, Connecticut and Georgia), and she still loves teaching and ministering in music and the arts.
Katherine states: “I believe that every person has been endowed with gifts and talents in the arts. It is my job to help each student I serve to grow and flourish.”

Katherine Savage graduated from State University of New York at Potsdam College, The Julia E. Crane School of Music (Bachelor of Music Education) where she majored in Instrumental Music and minored in Voice. Mrs. Savage also received her M.S. in Education from Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, New York with a major in the Art of Teaching.
Katherine started playing the viola/violin at age 6 and continued throughout her career in music. She studied with Bernard Kadinoff (Boston Symphony), Nardo Poy (Philadelphia Soloist Orchestra/Carnegie String Quartet) and was coached by Lamar Alsop (New York City Ballet Orchestra). She has professionally substituted on and off Broadway in New York, played with the String Reunion Orchestra, Schenectady Symphony, violist for the Palermo String Quartet and has done a great deal of studio work and community based arts.
In 1979, Mrs. Savage accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and has been sold out to God ever since. She began to play a 6-string Zeta electric violin and piano spreading the gospel in praise and worship all over the US, Germany, Brazil, Israel, Puerto Rico and Africa with her husband Curtis (guitarist) and their church ensemble. Katherine and her husband, Curtis, were ordained ministers of the gospel in 1994. Currently, Katherine, husband Curtis, and their son Josiah (dancer/flags/guitar), minister throughout Cobb and neighboring Counties.
