Laura Tidwell is a classically trained pianist and composer. She has taught children and adults for over twenty five years. She received her Bachelor of Music from Temple University in Philadelphia while majoring in Piano and Music Theory. She has furthered her education at Agnes Scott College, Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University and has received various certifications in Piano Pedagogy and Kindermusik.
She has conducted and accompanied choirs for various churches in the Atlanta area for the past 20 years. Her talents as a pianist and organist have led to many opportunities: accompanying the orchestra at the Lovett School, performing with the Ballet, judging piano auditions and other musical enterprises.
Laura believes that students who practice consistently not only increase their IQ but also develop a deeper understanding of the human character.
